The show was wonderful!! The students loved it and requested him
again for next year. I would call it a success.

All went well at the John Rush show. We had around 40 in attendance,
which is a good number for this college. The only activity we have
with bigger numbers is a dance. John did a great job and I have
heard a lot of positive feedback from the students. They enjoyed
the evening’s show.

John's performance was good. He has added more lights and sound
to his show since the last time I had seen him on one of my campuses,
which was nice. Any time an artist can do that it makes my life
so much easier!

John Rush’s performance was great, the students really enjoyed him.
They would have had him play for another 2 hours!! It was a great
coffeehouse performance, probably the best of our semester! He was
great to work with, especially with his own sound and lights; it
saved me a lot of time and frustration. Tell him thank you very
much for the awesome performance!

The concert went well. John performed on the coldest day of the
year in Indy (so far). It was great to have fall weather for our
event. John was a trooper – I’m sure that his hands must have been
quite cold by the end of the evening! Audience response was wonderful
(once folks understood that they could choose songs!). We logged
around 200 people throughout the evening. I hope that John enjoyed
the crowd!John was great to work with. I thought it was funny that
he was surprised when I offered to help him set up. It was a relief
to know that John was completely capable of doing the set up himself
(I’m no help, and often need to hire someone from campus operations
to be there ‘just in case.’ Thanks for recommending John. We will
keep you in mind as we begin to prepare for the spring.

Hey George - John Rush was great this weekend! We ended up starting
the show a little late, but then John played for two hours. Students
were engaged in the music the whole time and no one left (which
was the most impressive thing to me). And he was able to make fun
of you during the show, which made it that much better. Thanks for
checking up.

a success in my book. I was afraid they’d show up, take some

are always welcome and that we were also thankful to be working

get alot easier. Thanks again!

John was great. The students enjoyed him a lot. We put John in the
cafeteria during the lunchtime rush, so lots of students got a chance
to see him and request some songs. The Student Activities Board
would like to bring him back during the Spring semester, so I'll
be in contact with you about available dates soon. We had a great
time, and John is always willing to play longer, so that works well
for us when we have a few students still lingering around. We are

I wanted to let you know what a success John Rush
was at our Spring Picnic this past Tuesday, May 2. The Students
loved having John here playing a variety of music. What made his
appearance even better was his interaction with the audience throughout
the whole time he was performing. So many times I have performers
here who play their music great but do not know how to interact
with the crowd to get them going and really get into the event.
John has no trouble interacting with his audience, he was great.
John is a pleasure to work with and that makes my job so much easier.
Please thank John for the great show and I look forward to having
him back and working with him many more times in the future.

Working with John was a pleasure; he's a very kind
and talented individual, and totally anticipated all of our needs
for his performance. He arrived a little late for his set up, from
his gig before us, yet was totally prepared to go when we opened
our doors to students, and completely wowed them with his performance.
Our many, many thanks to you for engineering the whole thing as
well. His performance was perfect! :)
Piper Neddenien, Special Events Chair, Eastern Connecticut State

John Rush was a wonderful artist for the women of
Cedar Crest to have and a pleasure to work with. He was completely
self-sufficient in setting up and tearing down and made for a very
smooth production for us, which was great because we had to move
our outdoor event to a very tiny indoor space and it was hectic
as is. I personally appreciated how he turned what could have been
a completely stressful situation into a stress-free performance.
He was completely patient and flexible with our needs and wants
and did his best to work around what the students wanted and what
the situation called for. And the students were so delighted with
such an interactive show! His songs were familiar and the students
enjoyed that he could play them from memory. That is quite a talent!
Overall, we were 200% satisfied with John's performance and we hope
to have him back in the very near future in hopefully a more close
and intimate setting.

We don't have an ATM on campus so for students to part with cash
is a big thing. Great show. I would like to have him back. Does
he have anything booked up here in the fall?

Thanks
for sending us John Rush. He was fun and played for at least 1 3/4
hours! Nice guy, too. Say, can you give me his e-mail or forward
this to him? He has nice light trees and we are in the market to
buy a couple. I wondered where he got them.

John Rush's performance last week went great. This was the second
time that we booked him at UDM and it was definitely better than
the first. We changed the location and produced better advertising.
He interacts with the audience very well and makes the performance
overall very enjoyable. Students seemed to enjoy the type of music
played and had a good time playing "name that song/artist".
We look forward to working with him and Wally's World again next
year, possibily in the fall. Thank you and please stay in touch.

John Rush was amazing! He was such an easy performer to work with,
and he interacted great with our students! He has a good voice.
I love how he played songs that students requested. It makes them
enjoy theirselves more. We'll definitely keep him in mind for booking
next year! Thanks! Have a nice day.

John
was great. I really enjoyed the performance. I also really liked
the fact that he had all of his sound equipment etc. That definately
made my life easier. The audience did like him a lot. They were
a bit shy about requesting songs, but it worked pretty well. I am
thinking that we would probably like to have him back again next
year. Let me know if he had any suggestions to make our shows better.
His feedback would be great too.

John
was great! Very easy to work with . . . low maintenance, I love
it! It was a crazy week, being our Sno-week, so I was running around

to worry about catering to him. :) The students seemed to like him,
too! Thanks!

John
Rush's performance was incredible. John put on an unbelievable show
and i felt honored to be in attendance at such an "intimate"
concert. One of the soundmen, who has attended a countless amount
of shows at the courtyard for years, was quoted to say that John
was one of the most impressive performers he has ever heard at the
venue. Also, John was just a really friendly, personable guy who
was an overall pleasure to work with. Thank you so much for introducing
him to us. John's a truly amazing musician.

John's show, it was great. It was very nice to have a musician who
could set up all his own equipment and work a show by himself. He
got there and started right on time. (He mentioned you wouldn't
believe this last statement but, it is true). The audience that
attended loved that he knew all their favorite songs from way back
when and was impressed that he ranged from people like Led Zeplen
to more popular boy bands. He was incredibly easy and friendly to
work with and we enjoyed the experience. I look forward to working
with other Wally's World artists in the future.

John was great. The students really enjoyed him and I really appreciated
his efforts. He is a consummate professional. He was able to draw
kids into his performance and hold their attention for the entire

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner about John Rush's performance.
I meant to email you the day after he was on campus, but it got
away from me. Anyway, John was great! The students really liked
his program and the fact that he took requests. We had tons of requests--more
than he could play! It was an impressive show, with the lights and
sounds and his interactions with the audience. He was really easy
to work with as well. Students really liked him. I would definitely
bring him back to campus. Thanks! Take care,

Just so you know, John Rush was amazing. He was undoubtedly the
easiest artist to work with I have ever had. He used his own sound
and lighting, and set and took it down pretty much by himself. No
rider requirements besides a hotel? Even local talent we hire ask
for more than that! The show ended up going very well. It started
out sluggish, however. Most of Elon was at the football game, which
did not end until about ten minutes into his show. At this point,
there were only two viewers that were not programming affiliated.
The room John was playing in has many windows that overlooked much
of the crowd leaving the game. We propped open a door and John said
something like "I guess I should play something loud to get
people's attention." It was the largest crowd I've seen at
Saturday Night Live, our weekly show. He was our most expensive
Saturday Night Live act of the semester, including full touring
bands. But to his defense, he was incredibly easy to please, fun
to work with, brought in a huge crowd, and everyone thought he was
just amazing. It was nice to work with a rock star that didn't act
like one! We'll see you at NACA!

John Rush went great. I heard lot of great things said about him.
He was great to work with as usual. Had no problems and he was very
flexible. I had to give him credit it was a hot Saturday afternoon
and he played for two hours. The audience really enjoyed him playing
the cover songs that people requested. We love John and I know we
will want him to come back again next year. The campus always has
a good response from him. Thank you so much!

John Rush was great! On time, professional, and the students loved
him, as always.
Lainey Nadeau, St. Joseph’s College of Maine
John Rush was a huge hit at Union College! He sounded great and
everyone loved how they could request songs. We are thrilled that
he’ll be coming back to campus later this term!
Jenn Bernstein, Union College
John went over great…he has a great voice and his music appeals
to many age levels which is great for our college where students
range in age from 16 to 80.
Sandra L. Arsenault - Student Activities Program Assistant -
Mount Wachusett Community College
The John Rush show was fantastic! He was incredibly nice and so
easy to work with. The performance went really well and he got a
great response from the students. A good number of people stuck
around even after they were done eating to listen to him and request
songs. He did a great job interacting with the audience and of course,
"coconuts" was a big hit! We have no complaints from this
end...it was another successful Wally's World performance and a
great way to kick off our spring week!
Bethany Smith, Castleton State College
John Rush was awesome. We definitely want him back next year. We’ll
even consider eliminating a few others to have him back twice. I
received a ton of positive feedback.
Todd Kreuscher, Dunwoody College of Technology
John Rush was great! I hope to introduce him as a performer for
us this fall. He was a great stage performer. Traveling with his
own equipment made our jobs a lot easier with our programming budget.
I would recommend him to other schools in my area as well.
University of Detroit - Mercy in Detroit, MI - Felicia B. Bumpus,
Assistant DSA
John was as awesome performer and amazing to work with. He is really
dedicated to his job and giving a great performance. He did a good
job incorporating the audience. It kept their attention and really
made them feel like they were a part of his show. We were really
impressed that he was so personal with everyone. It was the first
time a performer remembered everyone's name on our staff and really
took an interest in what we do. We were surprised and extremely
impressed at this and it definitely made him stand out above other
performers.
Baldwin Wallace College
John Rush was AWESOME! I think that he was the best received out
of all the other performers that have come from Wally. I told him
of our unique audience and set up, and he just went with it and
fully succeeded. He is extremely talented, and the students—young
and old—seemed to really enjoy his music. They really liked
that they could request stuff, and enjoyed his covers as well as
his own material. Above that, John was so easy to work with. I don’t
think I did anything with set-up, or even so much as get him a pop
or some coffee! I really appreciate getting such quality acts that
make my life easier when doing student activities.
Andrew Pflipsen - Director of Housing / Student Activities -
McCook Community College
John Rush was great! We had a great response to his music and to
the show! Actually, I got a few responses from people today that
were telling me how upset they were that they missed it! John is
a great guy and our students enjoyed everything!
Stephanie Fritz, Monmouth College
" I have been at Upper Iowa for four years and I have not seen
a better musician on this campus than John Rush. I have seen him
3 times and it just keeps getting better. Keep up the good work!"
Katie Holaday, SAB President - Upper Iowa University (Fayette)
" He is great!!!!!! He is a fabulous performer and just a great
all around guy. I knew that the attendance size would be low, due
to other events going on around campus, but those that did attend
had a great time. Everyone that attended LOVED him!!! The females
found him to also be very attractive :-) You truly have a gifted
entertainer amongst your roster! "
Mardell Mommsen, DSA - Clinton Community College (IA)
"It's a challenge to provide activities for tech college students,
especially ones that the majority of students will like. But I think
we did it with John Rush! I saw a lot of head nodding and toe tapping
throughout the room, which is always a good sign! I had people (students
and staff) come up to me afterward to tell me how much they enjoyed
John's performance. From a professional standpoint, John was fabulous
to work with!!! He was very laid back and easygoing. Thanks so much
for recommending him! You promised a stellar performance, and you
definitely did not let us down...neither did John."
Jen Kelm Pinnow, DSA - Blackhawk Technical College (WI)
"The show was great...John Rush was wonderful to work with...as
always! We were not able to have him play past midnight...that was
our fault...we didn't think of the fact that he was playing in a
residence hall and they have quiet hours. John had no problem with
the change...he is very understanding and accommodating. Other then
that mix-up on our part...the event was great...the students enjoyed
John and I think he had a great time too."
Jennifer Scheer, Assoc. Dir. or Programs - Albion College (MI)
"John did a great job. He was completely self-supporting, requiring
no effort on our part to unload, setup or breakdown. The students
seemed to enjoy his impressive selection of covers. He threw in
a few great originals just for good measure."
Bruce Cook, DSA - Daytona Beach Community College (FL)
"John was GREAT! The show went really well. The students had
a great time and John was so much fun! Working with your agency
was a breeze and the talent you have working for you are wonderful."
Paula L. Sparks, Concerts Chair - Florida Southern College (Lakeland)
"John Rush's show was phenomenal! He did a fantastic job and
we had a great turnout. I think the fact that he sent me some awesome
publicity posters, helped a lot - and that they mentioned some of
the groups he covered - - it definitely peaked interest. We truly
enjoyed him, and will definitely be looking to have him back!"
Robin Brown, Director of Student Activities - Tusculum College
(TN)
"John was great. The response I got from the students was nothing
but positive. The nature of the event might have been different
from what he's used to working, but he did a really good job working
with the crowd since people were in and out of the room and busy
with other events in the room. He sounded great and a couple students
were invited onto the stage a couple times which they loved. Overall,
a great show. He was really easy and fun to work with."
Vi Lee, Coord. for Student Programs - Dartmouth College (NH)
"The concert went great! John Rush was extremely well prepared
and easy to work with. The crowd really seemed to enjoy the show
and had a long list of requests for John to play. He was a very
enthusiastic performer who really seemed dedicated to giving the
audience a good time. Thanks for your help in providing us with
these three great shows. Our Tuesday Night Acouistic Series was
a big success."
Amanda Jacobsen and Danny Witzofsky, Take 5 Coords. - Truman
State University (MO)
"John was GREAT. We had a nice turn-out for a cold Winter Term
evening. He played far longer than he contracted and the students
loved it. Afterwards, he hung out and talked guitars with one of
my student employees. He’s a great musician and a great guy.
WE are going to forward his name and show to a summer church camp,
as we feel that he would be a great addition! Thanks again!"
Brad Carr, DSA - Graceland College (IA)
"John Rush was a terrific performer. His energy and humor really
engaged the audience and made their experience more entertaining.
John was also incredibly easy to work with. I took an informal evaluation
from the board, as usual, and they wanted me to tell you that they
would like John to come back again next semester."
Angie Williams, President of SPA - Siena Heights University
(MI)
"We are pleased to say that John's show was terrific. I think
he enjoyed it as much as the students/staff did. There were quite
a few guitarists in the audience and they, of course, really could
appreciate John's playing. Students were willing to ask for songs.
After the show, he talked with several students about his music,
etc. He is a very good guy and we were honored to have him on our
campus. We hope he'll come to RCTC again."
Carol Numi, Assistant DSA - Rochester Community & Technical
College (MN)
"John was great! UD really enjoyed his show and would love
to bring him back. He even played longer!! The audience really responded
to his music and they LOVE that he can play covers. He's amazing!"
Rachel Sigwarth, Director of Student Activities - University
of Dubuque (IA)
"Oh my gosh, John Rush was great. He was really a nice man,
low maintenance, and the audience enjoyed his show. What more can
I ask for?? Thanks again for working with our budget so we could
afford him."
Kris Janse, Student Life Specialist - Northcentral Technical
College (WI)
"We love John!! He was fantastic!! We had a very small crowd
- just the nature of the beast - but John performed as though the
room was sold out! He even played longer than we had contracted
him for. I can not say enough how well this event went. John is
personable and is a wonderful talent...We are already hearing comments
about wanting him to return in the spring. Thanks again, George
for a wonderful performer."
Shannon Collins, SGA President - University of Maine (Augusta)
"The John Rush show was great the other night. We have been
averaging about 50 people for our acoustic shows and John brought
in around 80. The students had a great time and all I have heard
was positive feed back. Some of them even questioned if he could
come back and play our Wildcat Weekend at the end of the Spring
Semester. I will be bringing it to the board when we start planning
that so I can let you know either way. Overall his performance was
one of the best ones this semester. They can’t wait to have
him back!"
Monica Everdyke, Campus Activities Coordinator - Cazenovia College
(NY)
"Jennfier and Jeff were great! Jennifer is awesome as a vocalist
and as a guitarist. Jeff provided the perfect accompaniment. There
was a decent lunch crowd at Rifkin Cafe. The people that were there
really liked it, and I heard nothing but good things. They were
so nice and easy to work with. I'd reccommend her to any other school
looking for shows. Thanks again for setting it up!"
Brian Keating, Music Chair - Wilkes University (PA)
"John's show went well! The students, especially the female
ones, enjoyed his voice and the "eye-candy". The guys
enjoyed his variety of song options. I thought that he was easy
to work with and fun to be around."
Mitchell Alexander, Director of Student Activities - McDaniel
College (MD)
"John was amazing! We had our largest turn out so far with
150 students and they stayed for the wholes duration! John played
well over his time period, and one can tell that he loves to do
what he is doing. A very personable man who intrigued the crowd."
Stephanie Kaponya, Director of Campus Life - Concordia University
(WI)
"John Rush was very enjoyable and I think the crowd was very
impressed with his talents. He was so easy to work with and set
up/tear down was a breeze. We enjoyed having him and we can't wait
to have him back!"
Jen Hainley, CAB Public Relations Associate - Central College
(IA)
"John was great, he was one of the nicest people that I have
ever met and he sounded awesome. I heard nothing but positive things
from the audience and he was not able to get to all the songs that
were requested, so I think there was a good crowd there. Also the
freshman class was required to go to the event that John was playing
at, so at least 400 people saw John and I think a good deal of them
stayed around to listen to John. Also I would like to thank you
for being extermly helpful and kind to me. Thank you."
Andrew Best, CAB Concerts Chair - Loras College (IA)
"As always John is a BIG hit. Crowds were a bit smaller this
time around, but great in responsiveness...definitely a favorite
at ECC! It's so obvious he loves what he's doing, he always entertains
and gives the audience what they want. He is such a good guy to
work with, and we wish more were like him. Thanks again for representing
such a wonderful performer and providing us with such quality ent4ertainment."
Jarrig Visser & Amybeth Mauer, Activities Directors - Elgin
Community College (IL)
"John was wonderful! We had a great time and everyone loved
him. People responded really well to his covers and to his original
stuff. He was great to work with, fun to watch, and such a great
performer! He's so friendly and personable, what a great man. I
know we'd love to have him back again sometime. Things really did
go wonderfully! Thanks for a great opportunity! We can't wait to
work with you again."
Meghan Connor, CAB Chair - Saint Ambrose University (IA)
"What a beautiful day we had for John Rush's outside concert.
A slight breeze, some sun in his eyes, and a temp of around 80.
We served sloppy Joes and chips and set chairs out on the lawn for
students and staff. Those that sat for a while had a nice personal
concert and lunch. It was my first successful outdoor concert. I
am very thankful for the nice weather and the music of John. I am
sure that we will see him again on our campus. John is a gentlemen
and a joy to work with."
Ann Fremont, Activities Advisor - Des Moines Area C.C. (IA)
"The show was awesome. John was fun to work with and put on
one heck of a show. I have only heard positive things about his
show and the audience responded really well to him. We will definately
be getting in contact with you to bring him back next year, and
I am maybe thinking about next semester as well. For our first JAVA
JAM of the year we had between 60-70 people throughout the night
and without one of our own students opening, that type of number
is unheard of on our campus. As I said before he was a blast to
work with and hang out with."
Aaron Grubic, Nightlife Chair - Saint Ambrose University (IA)
"John Rush was awesome! He was easy to work with and the students
really enjoyed his performance during the lunch hour! He did a great
job getting the students involved. I would bring him back to campus
for another show!"
Jason Baldwin, DSA - Avila University (MO)
"The show was wonderful. The feedback from students has been
all good news. Everyone commented on how good John was and what
talent he has. Thanks for suggesting him first. It got our coffeehouse
series off to an awesome start. We had over 95 people there in the
first 10 minutes which is amazing for the first event of the year.
Besides the show, John is a really cool guy that appreciates his
audience. I want to thank you as well as him for helping make this
event such a success. I look forward to working with you guys in
the future."
Kenny Lawrence, Coffeehouse Chair - Maryville University of
St. Louis (MO)
"John was GREAT! We had over 100 people there which is a big
number for us. They really enjoyed being able to make requests.
He was worth every penny. Please express to him what a great job
he did and how much we enjoyed having him here."
Joan Maze, DSA - Maryville University of St. Louis (MO)
"John was excellent and the audience loved it! We had over
50 people there but it was a cool crowd! I think everything he played
kept their attention and when he was done we almost had to run people
away. They all wanted to talk to him, it was great. Thanks as always
for your help!"
Travis Lallemand, Director of Campus Life - Crowder College
(MO)
"As always, John was great! He's a definite hit on a college
campus! We didn't have a huge turnout, probably due to some other
events that were happening that night, but those who attended really
enjoyed themselves. I got great feedback from the student who was
left in charge of the event that night! From what I hear, one of
our staff members even got up on stage and sang with him! John's
great, we enjoy having him and I'm sure will ask him to come back
again!"
Leanne Burnham, Advisor - Colby College (ME)
"John was wonderful yesterday. He is incredibley talented and
so at ease when performing. I love the way he relates to the audience
so comfortably. He makes his shows so personal! Everyone thought
he was wonderful and wanted to know if we could have him back next
year. Thank you so much for everything. We'll be in touch!"
Becky Johnson, Student Programmer - College of Saint Rose (NY)
"John Rush was GREAT!!. We did not have too many students attend
the event, but all the ones who were there loved him and his performance.
I personally thought he was a very pleasant person to work with
(he made everything run smooth) and he sounded very good (what a
talent!!), a great event for any campus...who knows, maybe next
semester we could try it again, but during the day (lunch time).
Thank you so much for everything. I am very glad we were able to
bring John to our campus."
Ana Serra-Prescott, Director of Student Activities - Caldwell
College (NJ)
"John Rush rocks! The students at Penn State York loved his
show...in fact, they begged him to stay and continued to shout out
requests to him. John ended up staying an extra half hour to play
some of their favorite songs. We will definitely have John back
next semester. Thanks for having so much fun with us, John!"
Scott Simonds, Assoc. Director of Student Affairs - Penn State
at York (PA)
"He's a programmer's dream. Self-contained, dependable, and
a crowd-pleaser. He got requests all night. The Cadets seem to enjoy
him. When I get time, I'll send a report to NACA. Thank you!"
Ron Harsch, Cadet Activities Director - United States Military
Academy (NY)
"The performance was awesome. The students loved him and so
did I! He was so great and easy to work with. He played forever!
He definitely exceeded any and all expectations! We'd love to have
him back in the fall."
Alicen E. Adams, Student Activities Coordinator - Dean College
(MA)
"John was great as a performer and a person! The crowd was
extremely small, but at no fault of Johns of course. UPJ loves having
him, and he always gets a great crowd. And, although the turnout
was lighter due to other activities on campus, he definitely responded
well to us! The music was great, and once again you and John make
life as a programmer so easy and we still get an awesome event!
Thanks so much!"
Anna Provenzano, Student Programmer - University of Pittsburgh
at Johnstown (PA)
"Thank you! The students and staff at Penn State York really
enjoyed having John Rush on campus yesterday. He is an awesome performer
and a great guy to work with. The students loved that they could
ask John for requests, and he could play almost everything they
asked for. We will definitely book him again."
Scott Simonds, Associate Director of Student Affairs - Penn
State University at York (PA)
"I can’t say enough about how great an experience we
had with John. I definitely want to talk to you about having John
back next year. Everyone that went to the show gave me positive
feedback. I don’t know how you find these guys, but everyone
from your agency has been 100% class act. The week before John came,
the guys from the band we had perform came up to me after the show
to ask where they could find a good strip club. Now that is their
business, and they put on a fine show with no complaints, but your
guys have that extra personality and class that makes the show run
beautifully. Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing Steven
Jackson!"
Adam Todd, Student Program Coordinator - University of Dallas
(TX)
"John is truly such a gifted individual...We felt so pleased
and priviledged to have him with us for the noon performance. I
heard so many comments from people listening about what a wonderful
performer and musician he is...People spoke about how relaxed and
refreshed his presence made them feel, and to have so many people
smiling for such a long period of time is quite unusual around here;
the stress tends to otherwise keep everyone on overdrive. John really
performs from the heart, and that is so evident in person. The wide
variety of musical selections he works with and even his vocal range
was a treat. And his exceptional technical expertise as a guitarist
really captured many an ear in a delightfully surprising way. One
of the things I enjoyed about his original songs was the social
conscience that seemed to drive his creative energy - I just cannot
say enough wonderful things about him! Many, many thanks to you
for helping to make this all possible!"
Debra Unruh, DSA - Texas Woman's University at Houston (TX)
"It is always difficult to get students involved at a commuter
campus. Turn out is always low for any event, but John Played as
if he were in front of a thousand. He has a captivating energy and
a tremendous stage presence. His show is an equal balance of original
material and cover music, and that combination won over his audience.
He maintains a dialog with the crowd that not only involves them,
but makes him more personable. He is a new favorite with Alvin Community
College. Thanks for everything! P.S Tell him the “Coconut
Song was a crowd pleaser!"
Annie Rammirez, Coord. of Student Activities - Alvin Community
College (TX)
"John was absolutely EXCELLENT!!! We had a great time. Many
have said that we should bring him back and I agree. I'm thinking
the next time we bring him in we should try to do a day show where
more students would be able to see him. I am very pleased with his
performance and he was such a nice person to work with."
Kerry Strupp, Director of Campus Life - Marian College (WI)
"You will never have to ask any school how John Rush did. He
is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone loves him, he is very accommodating,
he is timely, has stayed way over the time he was commissioned.
The few day students who saw him were disappointed that I have not
brought him here in the day time so I will have to try and book
him twice for next year, a day event and an evening, possibly on
the same day."
Krissie Harris, Coord. of Student Activities - Oakton Community
College (IL)
"The concert went really well. We had about 50 students, which
is fewer than I would have liked, but I think that was a function
of the long weekend and people running back home for the holiday.
John, however, was very engaging of the audience and has a really
excellent personality and great talent. We were glad to have him
and I would be interested in potentially having him back for greater
exposure during another time of year."
Paula Liseo, Coord. of Student Life - Saint Louis College of
Pharmacy (MO)
"John Rush was wonderful!! Easy to work with, and the students
loved him. Definitely worth the money. We'd love to have him again
sometime in the future."
Kim Fritz, DSA - Culver Stockton College (MO)
"Great show last night Kelly! John was very easy to work with,
very friendly and professional and really connected with the audience.
He is a tremendous musician and certainly not your average coffeehouse
guitar player. The guitar loops, effects and huge variety of songs
kept the entire crowd entertained. Great evening. Thanks for being
so easy to work with."
Brad Carr, DSA - Graceland College (IA)
"OUTSTANDING, I told him that he was very good. I sat there
and watched him and it was great. My only concern was that he was
so stiff. I told him that and he said, ya I know. But the music
was great!!!! No lie."
William Blake, DSA - Youngstown State University (OH)
"The show was excellent. It was our last Java Jams ever as
well as the last date on his tour so it seemed ironic. John did
a wonderful job and the students loved him. It was more than a pleasure
working with him. He was one of our most successful events of the
semester! ~Jessica"
Jessica Buehner, Director of Java Jams - John Carroll University
(OH)
"John was great! The students really responded to him and enjoyed
the ability to select songs. He was wonderful to work with. We'd
love to have him back again. Thanks a million, George! Jamie"
Jamie Shyda, DSA - Hagerstown Community College (MD)
"John was OUTSTANDING! I was not able to be there for all of
it...but I heard, when it was time to end he asked the crowd if
they minded if he could continue because he was having so much fun!
My 3-year-old son loved him because after the teaser he was able
to strum on the guitar! John is a true keeper!"
Amy Cotner-Klingler, Assoc. DSA - Penn State University (Mont
Alto)
"John played all of the songs that we requested and some of
his own, and was very energetic. The students that attended really
enjoyed themselves, and even bought his CD. John arrived on time,
and was very pleasant to work with. Sarah, another one of our Executive
Board members and me helped him load in, and we had a great conversation
about his moving to Michigan, his tour, and his future plans. It's
nice to come across performers who are so down to earth and willing
to chat as they load their equipment in instead of just bossing
the help around. The student will definitely have him back!"
Stacey Pollock, SPEC Chair - Saint Joseph College (CT)
"John was great both as a musician and person. His talent was
great and I only wish he could have played longer but time didn't
permit so. I would love to have him back sometime soon. He was awesome,
and a genuinely great guy. The crowd loved him and hopefully next
time, since word will have spread we can get an even larger audience.
Does John do outside shows too? Because that might be a great spring
event. Thanks again."
Mike Johnson, Programming Committee Member - Bridgewater State
College (MA)
"John was GREAT!!!! Our students really liked him and he was
sooooooooo easy to work with. Thanks again....John Rush is fabulous!"
Keri Ellington, DSA - Franklin College (IN)
"The students greatly enjoyed John at the Loop. Rakesh, the
student who planned the event, also stated "John was very professional
and courteous. We might want to consider him for future events in
Lincoln Park." The attendance was a little lower than expected,
which may have been due to students being in the study mode for
finals. Those who attended stuck around for the entire show! Overall,
it was a great success. I hope John Rush also enjoyed being at DePaul."
Ashli Grabau, Program Coordinator - DePaul University (IL)
"John Rush had a very good performance at Quinnipiac. The audience
was very impressed with his ability to play so many different requested
cover songs. I personally was surprised that his rider only included
a hotel. He was also very friendly and talkative to the volunteers
which is always a plus. Kevin Supple, SPB Concert Chair"
Kevin Supple, SPB Concert Chair - Quinnipiac University (CT)
"John was wonderful. We had about 50 to 60 student and those
students all had a great time. Feedback from them was that they
really enjoyed him. They have also asked me to bring him back. I
thought he sounded great and put on a very entertaining show. I
was impressed with his range of knowledge for music and lyrics.
Thank you very much for helping me be able to bring the students
a wonderful concert. Thanks Libby"
Libby Brown, Director of Campus Life - Cumberland University
(KY)
"The John Rush show was great!! There were 58 people there
and that is a record!! so its really good for my first event. :)
John Rush was great and everybody loved him. We definitely want
him back next year. We thank you very much for all your help. Thanks
again, Froso Tsambazis"
Froso Tsambazis, Student Programmer - Bryant College (RI)
"The show and event went really well. The response to the activities
as well as John were great! I heard many comments about how talented
he is and how he is able to play a good selection / variety of music
to please the differing generations (students and faculty/staff).
There is talk that we may book him again for next year. Catherine"
Catherine Fields, Senate Advisor - North Iowa Area Community
College (Mason City)
"John was his usual wonderful and magnificent self. Once again
he wowed the audience, which went from few to many several times
during his performance. He is an awesome entertainer with a great
attitude. We do appreciate the talent you represent. Jarrig"
Jarrig Visser, Student Life Coord. - Elgin Community College
(IL)
"Spectacular - Fun - Easy !! John was a pleasure to work with
- very self sufficient - didn't even want me to get him water! Thanks
for the show! Amy"

straight......and the students loved him....he will be back! Dave"

He worked real well with our students. Another fine act from Wally.
Thanks, Ken"
Ken Baxter, DSA - Eureka College (IL)
"John was fantastic! He is a pleasure to work with! Down to
earth and very amicable. He stayed and entertained the crowd long
after his set was over! He is definitely a crowd-pleaser! We really
enjoyed having him on campus and hope to book him again in the future."
Amy Beth Maurer, Advisor - Elgin Community College (IL)
"We would definitely be interested in having John come back
to Sacred Heart in the future. Many of our students have commented
on how enjoyable his performance was and how they would like to
see him perform again. In fact, many of the students were sorry
we had to end the performance right around 11:00 PM, but we only
had the facilities booked until then. It is my hope that we can
better plan for next time. We hope John enjoyed playing at Sacred
Heart as much as we enjoyed having him. Thanks so much for entertaining
us, Kelly."
Kelly J. McGill, Student Activities Grad. Student - Sacred Heart
University (CT)
"From my point of view the show went over great. John performed
well and interacted well with the audience. The written evaluation
forms, which were filled out mainly by the students, rated John's
performance in the "very good" range. Besides John having
musical talent, John vast repertoire of songs enabled him to play
the songs that the students requested. It was a pleasure having
John perform for us. Thanks, Sandy "
Sandi Arsenault, Asst. DSA - Mount Wachusett Community College
(MA)
"Just wanted to get to you in writting how much we enjoyed
John during our Family Weekend. Even though I am writting this months
after the show, I still have students mention how much they liked
John that night. The great thing about John's show is that he has
music for everybody to enjoy. He played for over two and a half
hours until everybody had all of their request played. Thanks for
helping us when we were in a tight bind and needed a great show.
"
Tommy Love, DSA - Saint Andrew's Presbyterian College (NC)
"I just wanted to quickly let you know that John Rush was truly
a wonderful programming experience. His professionalism, hard work,
and wonderful skills were a delight for the campus and he was very
well enjoyed by all who were there. Thanks so much."
Dan Potter, Concerts Chair - North Central College (IL)
"great show Monday night. john performed an extra 1 and a half
hours...i hope his wife didn't yell at 'em. everyone enjoyed his
performance. all i've heard were good coments, and i'm considering
john for a future date next year if the opportunity exists. my commitee
was happy to help john out with breaking down. on a little tiny
note, and i do stress tiny and that is that i thought "Higher"
by Creed could be tweaked around a little. thanks again, Jeremy"
Jeremy Raichle, Club Entertainment Chair - Lycoming College
(PA)
"Hey, John went over so well at our school!!...I have been
getting so much feedback from the students here at the school. I
definitely want John Rush back at our school, possibly as a welcome
back performance from our summer vacation. He knows how to get into
the crowd and make them have a good time. Thank You very much.....Keith"
Keith Jurcotte, Music Chair - Maine Maritime Academy (Castine)
"John Rush's show went great Saturday. He does a really good
job and works with the audience well. Everything seemed to go ok.
We had a flow of people any where from 25-65. The people that were
there seemed to really enjoy themselves and got into it by making
requests and he played every song for them. "
Jennifer Scheer, Asst. DSA - College of Wooster (OH)
"John Rush was our opening act for our Welcome Week activities.
He was amazing and the students and staff present couldn't get enough.
He played an extra half hour just to get the rest of their requests
in. His sense of humor, stage presence and easy going personality
endeared him to Lynchburg. Students are already asking when we are
bringing him back! John Rush rocks! "
Kristin Morgan, DSA - Lynchburg College (VA)
"Everything went really well with John Rush last week. We'd
love to have him back again. I'll be in touch over the summer! Thanks.
