Everything went really well with the show. Keith and Renee had a great performance. We had a lot of great feedback from the show here at Bethany. After the show, several people went up to talk with them and stayed quite awhile after. We would be interested in having them come back some time soon. It went really well with the performers bringing their own equipment!!!
Leigh Ann LaFave, Director of Student Activities, Bethany Lutheran College – Mankato, MN

They were cool – I was trying to have them play outside by my operations coordinator just wasn’t making it happen. So they played inside and there were definitely still some students checking them out. They definitely have a refreshing sound. Thanks.

They were absolutely super!! The new Live at the Quarry Coordinator, Chris Christensen and I were talking about how we wished many of our artists were as nice to work with, as talented and drew a crowd like they did here! We had about 60 at the peak lunch crowd which isn’t bad as students come & go to classes.
Janice Courtney, UPC Grad Advisor, Saint Cloud State University - Saint Cloud, MN

Easily Amused was a hit with our students. Their performance was great, and they were super easy to work with. I would recommend them to other schools looking for coffee house or small venue acts.

Wow! It’s been a while. I have been meaning to get back to you about Easily Amused, they were amazing. They were so comfortable with our students and our students loved them. Keith & Renee are both professionals but they really know their craft well. Part way through their show in our coffee house they stepped off staged and walked through the crowd all the while singing and playing guitar. Rarely, do you find musicians willing to step away from the mic and take their music to their audience, literally. It was probably the coolest thing I’ve seen an artist do to connect with an audience. There’s a reason why our students want them back every year and why they want to keep coming.
Tina Hopp, Director of Student Activities, Bethany Lutheran College - Mankato, MN

The show was great! We had a really good turn out and had several compliments about how wonderful the two sounded together .
Scott Reynold, Entertainment Coord., Eastern Kentucky University

Everything went well. I myself was not pleased with the student turnout; about 40 students, but I always want everyone at our events. Those who were there really enjoyed it. People flocked to them after the show. I even had one student IM me and tell me that they wish they could have stayed for the entire show but were instead listening to their myspace while doing home work!
Chris Falls, Music Chair - University of Pittsburgh, Bradford, PA

Easily Amused was fantastic. As opening week performers, they did a wonderful job including and entertaining the audience. The audience was equally responsive and positive, and the reviews in campus news were also very favorable. Keith and Renee were very easy to work with and I would not put it past future planners in my position to consider them again. As always, it is a pleasure to work with you and your organization, and I hope to do so again in the future.
Charles Blazevich, JAVA Club Co-Chair, Augustana College - Rock Island, IL

Easily Amused went over wonderful on Wednesday. Students enjoyed having live music during lunch again. Renee and Keith were wonderful to work with, they were extremely nice which is great. Easily Amused sold four or five albums. I continue to here great things about them. If you could relay a message to them I would appreciate it. Tell them thank you so much for a great performance and Good Luck in Boston at NACA.
Janelle Tood, Concerts Chair, Missouri State University in Springfield, MO

Easily Amused were fantastic – they were really easy to work with, brought all their own sound and put on a great show. Unfortunately, they were competing against the World Series that night, so attendance was a little low. Yet they adapted to the small crowd of and played a great inimate set.
Becky Anderso, Assistant Director Student Activities, Nichols College, MA

Performance Date: November 1, 2005
Everything went great with Easily Amused! Received nothing but positive feedback from audience--they really enjoyed their music. Student Activities Committee also said they were great to work with. I hope Keith and Renee's experience was also positive. Thanks for eveything.
Steve Harpst, Director of Student Life, Orange County Community College, NY

Just wanted to say thank you for everything. Easily Amused went really well. We had 150 people and everyone had a great time. Keith and Renee were really easy to work with as well. Staff and Students really enjoyed their music. I had someone come up to me after the show and tell me its the best coffeehouse they had ever been to. I think Easily Amused has a really good thing going for them. They have a great sound and they harmonize extreamly well. Plus, they are just so down to earth, nice people.
Mike Siciliano, Entertainment Coordinator, Campus Activiy Board, Eastern Connecticut State University

Man, Easily Amused rocked. Sold a lot of CDs, sounded awesome, had a decent crowd, and I really like their new tunes. It was good to see them. Yep, you've got a great duo there. They showed up early and stayed late to talk with the sudents, Renee even helped clean up. I am hoping they will get to Showcase this fall at NACA.
Dex Tuttle, Assistant Director Student Activities, Pennsylvania College of Technology

I wanted to let you know what a great job Easily Amused did during their recent appearance at Youngstown State University. Late morning and noon-time performances can be very tough, but the audience was very receptive to their music and both Renee Lamoureux and Keith Macpherson seem to be at the top of their game when on stage. They are "up-and-comers" for sure!
Greg Gulas, Assistant Director/Student Activities, Youngstown State, OH

Keith and Renee of Easily Amused are a great group to work with. Many commented that Renee sounds like a younger version of Melissa Etheridge, and Keith's voice was amazing voice as well. They were excellent to work with, very personal to the audience. I'd love to have them again!
Kelly Vickroy, Music Chair – Quincy University

Easily Amused had a great performance at AIB. We had over 80 students come out and listen, which for AIB is a huge number! They were very personable, cracking jokes at the BBQ that was being held at the same time. It was a very pleasant experience. We welcome them back anytime!
Maisy Berryhill, Student Activities Coordinator – AIB College of Business

Easily Amused was really good! They were so nice and professional! They did a great job and we had a lot of great feedback from the students.
Melanie Epperson, Missouri Southern State College

Easily Amused was great. They were very well received and gave our students such a fun night. Both Keith and Renee were personable and friendly to our students - and they are so talented!
Mary Toso, DSA - Augustana College (SD)

Things went great...Easily Amused were awesome! There was a big crowd and we've gotten a lot of great feedback from the students. Keith and Renee were very easy to work with, and a lot of fun. It really was a success for us - thanks for all your help!
Chuck - Clarkson College in Omaha, NE

Easily Amused went over very smoothly. Keith and Renee were very friendly and easy to work with. I Look forward to doing business with you in the future.
Justin B. Larson, UPC Showcase Coordinator - South Dakota State University

"Easily Amused rocked our venue! They were so awesome, and we had a more than great turn out for the event. There were even a group of students that stuck around after the show to talk with Renee and Keith. Our crew and some of the other producers were even able to have lunch with them after the show and take down, to get to know a little more about them. Their music and harmonies work so well together, and I definitely hope to have them back next year."
Michelle Sinks, Student Activities Program Board – College of DuPage

"Well, as it should be no surprise, Easily Amused definitely set the bar high last night for the rest of our performers, as Easily Amused was our opening act this semester (and school year!). Without a doubt, we were(as was the crowd) very excited to have Renee and Keith back. They even had fans that came about an hour to see them! The energy, sincerity, and excellence they portray on and off the stage is amazing. So good to have them back; can't wait for them to return AGAIN!!!! Plus, their cds are the kind you can't help but push 'Repeat' on. They are welcome back anytime they want."
Alecia Rider, Performing Arts Asst. - University of Wisconsin (Platteville)

"Keith and Renee were great! For an early-in-the-year performance, it was just the right touch after a high-stress week. The audience, while in-and-out as is typical of this place, was very appreciative. I have nothing but praise for these folks!"
Doug Frazier, DSA. - Des Moines Area Community College (IA)

"Keith And Renee from Easily Amused were a great band that a wide variety of audience members seemed to enjoy. The two showed up early to make sure that everything would go smoothly. They were excited about being in Boise and occasionally would make that comment to the audience. Keith and Renee were fantastic singers! The audience was very diverse, yet they managed to entertain everyone. They shared a wide variety of songs which made for an interesting show."
Jennifer Holaday, Student Activities Asst. - Boise State University (ID)

"Easily Amused's performance for our summer concert series at ISU was awesome! We had an amazing turnout at around 350 or so. renae and kieth are extremely talented individuals, and perform extremely well together. They were very well received by the audience, and they really appreciated the show. It was really great having them here, and I would like to try to bring the full band next summer, if I'm still here. Thanks for all your help!"
Joe Torres, Summer Activities Co-Chair - Idaho State University (Pocatello)

"Easily Amused is a fantastic comical music duo, Keith and Renee are friendly, fun, and very flexible. We had an outdoor performance where they were easily heard throughout out residence halls and very much enjoyed. There have even been residents who have requested that we bring Easily Amused back again next year. As far as planning the event Keith and Renee were very flexible with us as it was an event we put together at the last minute. They had no problem with just going with the flow. We really appreciate all of the work Wally's World did with us to get this event going, if it hadn't been for you guys, we couldn't have had this great success."
Amanda Kistler, Student Activities Co-Chair - Viterbo University (WI)

"Easily Amused was great. We had around 60 people in attendance and Renee & Keith were great performers. I especially liked the stories before each song. Their sense of humor was enjoyable as was their overall peformance. We sold lots of CD's... so the audience surely liked them!"
Rachel Sigwarth, Director of Student Activities - University of Dubuque (IA)

"I must tell you that Keith and Renee were the total package. They were all around awesome! (and you can tell them that too). They were incredibly easy to work with, on time (a huge plus), and easy to please. I had very nice conversations with both of them. They were very pleasant to be around and their positive, kind attitudes were contagious. Their sound checks went well too. As far as their performances, they were not only a success, but a blast! I thoroughly enjoyed their music and stage presence. They did really well selling their merchandise here. I think it's the first time we've had faculty buy an album from our Acoustic Wednesday performers! And more than one faculty bought one too. Keith and Renee seemed to relate easlily with the college students and were a hit with them, as evident by their album sales that night. I have requested to my boss that we definately book them for next year. We do these concerts every Wednesday and they have been my favorite all around: to work with, promote, and watch live. Brilliant! Their music is undeniable and it caused me to get both of their CDs. They are a great team and seem to fit well together. While I would love to see them back year after year at UW-Platteville, they should truthfully be opening for headliners. Their sound is pure, not airy as we often hear from our performers. They both have great personalities. Their medley at the end of their set was very cool and a big hit. It's so nice to hear originals, yet something the audience can relate to. I'm still singing their songs!"
Andrea Rider, Program Asst. - University of Wisconsin (Platteville)

"The reviews I heard from students and faculty about Easily Amused were very positive. Most were impressed at the quality of their performance. They are very talented and yet humble and wonderful to work with. I hope to have them every year until they become too famous for us to afford..."
Rick Ross, Director of Student Programs - Peninsula College (WA)

"The show went AWESOME! Rene and Keith are both really easy to work with and very cool to just talk with. The audience was very receptive and a number of Cd's were purchased. I received more than a few of compliments!"
Catherine Fields, Student Senate Advisor - North Iowa Area Community College (Mason City)

"The Easily Amused performance on Saturday went very well! We had a great turnout and even had some people come from Madison (which is about 2.5 hours away). It was great to see a following, since normally we just get students. As performers, Keith and Renee did a great job interacting with the crowd. On several occassions I heard comments like "they are really funny" or "they are really good, and I don't normally like that type of music." As a result, it really seemed like not only did they engage the crowd with their music, but with their interpersonal skills as well. They even obliged the crowd when they cheered for an encore...an encore that ended two songs later, much to the crowd's enjoyment. In addition, CD sales were more for Easily Amused than I had seen for past performers. Off stage, Keith and Renee were a joy to work with. They came in with smiles on their faces, and despite feeling a bit groggy, were very friendly during conversations. Overall, they really seemed very appreciative for our hospitality and the opportunity to perform at St. Norbert College, and we were happy to have them!"
Kristy Hunsader, Campus Center Programming Intern - Saint Norbert College (WI)

"Easily Amuzed was spectacular last night!!! They played for a whole hour and a half. We had such a good turnout! Everyone enjoyed the show and I saw many people buying both of their CD's. Keith and Renee were such awesome people to work with, it really comes across that they enjoy what they are doing. We took a number of pics last night, so we will have to get those to you. We were very happy with the show!!!!!"
Kimberly Kuhlmann, Programming Chair - Valle City State University (ND)

"I just wanted to thank you for coming here to Bemidji and playing an awesome set of shows. You two were both such wonderful people and I had a blast while you are here. Hopefully we'll get to meet up again sometime. I wish you the best of fun with the rest of your tour. Take care Ren and Keith."
Joe Pint, Coffeehouse Coordinator - Bemidji State University (MN)

"Renee and Keith were terrific. They had a very good audience and held most of them the whole time. When students had to leave for class, etc., they did not look like they wanted to leave. We really hopethey'll put RCTC on their list of performances next year. Thanks!"
Carol Numi, Asst. DSA - Rochester Community & Technical College (MN)

"I was at the concert you played on Jan. 15th in Vermillion South Dakota. I just wanted to tell you that it was amazing. I was having an awful day (unfortunately it got worse later), but I was able to escape and just listen to your harmonies and wonderful lyrics. You had a great connection with the audience, making eye contact. Even though I was just a face in the crowd, I felt like I was actually seen and that for that brief moment, I was a part of something. So I just wanted to thank you. Your music and talent touch people's lives, and while I'm sure you know that, or if not you should, it doesn't hurt to be reminded once and again. I'm hoping to catch a few more of your shows when you're near Vermillion and I will try to work up the courage to tell you this in person. Thanks again."
anonymous feedback - University of South Dakota (Vermillion)

"Everything went great with Easily Amused's performance! It's nice to have a group show up early, know their technical requirements (have their own tech.) and put on a professional show with out a hitch. Our room is a very hard audience, but I really think we had quite a few students actually watching Renee & Keith, which is a very good sign. It was a great show, and I know Student Events felt good about it."
Dean Bennett, DSA - North Idaho College (Coeur D Alene)

"Easily Amused, a WWC favorite, wowed the students, staff, and faculty alike. Keith and Renee are real people who bring their best every time they perform. I have nothing but good to say about this superb duo! Their music appeals to many and they have great crowd interaction. Both band members go with the flow and their passion for their music really shows. WWC looks forward to having Renee and Keith back next year. Just make sure they play "Have your Cake and Edith too" at every concert!"
Crystal Bradley, Mount Ash Editor - Walla Walla College (WA)

"Like their past performance at our school, Easily Amused absolutely outstanding! They are such great performers and so friendly to work with. We appreciated them coming, and the audience only had good things to say about their performance, and how they presented themselves. They were great! We probably will check into having them again next year."
Kim Jackson, DSA & Amy Redford, Music Programmer - Big Bend Community College (WA)

"The show was awesome. Keith and Renee were excellent. The students loved them. They are very talanted and great people. It helped us out a lot that they had their own sound person because had a little difficulty setting that up, but once we got it going it sounded great. I am very happy with how the show went and that every person had apositive reaction to Keith and Renee and their singing."
Libby Netzer, SAB President - Montana State University University (Billings)

"The performance was excellent. Renee and Keith were well received by our audience members. One of the comments that I received from an audience member was that they were different than our normal performers, and that it was a nice change. As a board member, I have to confess that they were extremely easy to work with. I enjoyed their music and their personalities. Could you do me a favor and thank them, again, for coming on such short notice and for showing our school a good time."
Angie Williams, SPA President - Siena Heights University (MI)

"As far as the performance goes I was extremely pleased with them as musicians. The quality of their performance was consistent and well received. The biggest praise that I have to throw their way is how flexible they were to a situation that could have ended up disastrous. Our sound equipment was on the fritz early on in the show (we are looking into new equipment before our next performers). I was so happy with how Keith and Renee were able to roll with the punches when they offered to bring in their PA. With the easy going manner of 'Easily Amused' and some on the spot help from our Tech Crew the show was rolling again within a few minutes. I just want to say that so many people forget how far a good attitude and the right perspective can go now a days. Keith and Renee were fabulous musicians and even better people. They should be commended for both their musical talents and their kind hearts. Thanks so much."
Luke Moravec, Student Activities Director - College of Saint Scholastica (MN)

"Only good things to say about Renee and Keith. Both were great to work with. Their sound was great and they had a nice variety of songs to keep the audience interested. Our students seem to respond well to the stories artists share about each song and they kept the audience's attention that way as well. The comments I heard after the show were all very positive--I think the audience was really into them. Overall, a very nice show."
Fran Walczak, Student Life Office - University of Wisconsin (Green Bay)

"Easily Amused was fantastic! They were fun and entertaining and the students laughed, they actually laughed and did not just sit there!! We had a great turn out and the students enjoyed the series I think it is a keeper. I promise to call in the future for some more great performances."
Stephanie Kaponya, Director of Campus Life - Concordia University (WI)

"Renee & Keith were awesome! We had great feedback, including a comment form a senior student "This is the best act MSOE has had since I've been a student." I think they also did well in regards to selling their cd's. Definitely one I would mind having back. They were very easy to work with. Nothing but great comments about their performance!"
Jean Heese, Asst. DSA - Milwaukee School of Engineering (WI)

"The show was fantastic! They did a phenomenal job and students are already asking for them to come back. I really enjoyed how personable they were with the students and how much time they gave to stick around after the show, hang out with the kids, mingle, etc. They were very refreshing to have around! They are definitely talented and Tusculum wishes them all the success in the world"
Robin Brown, Director of Student Activities - Tusculum College (TN)

"The show was great. Easily Amused was a great choice for our new student orienation! Keith and Renee were really easy to work with. Both were very enthusiastic. We had at one point about 100 students or so there, so it was a decent turnout. The response was good so I figured it went well."
Jason Richter, Coord. of Student Activities - Saint Mary's University (MN)

"Easily Amused was great! Our students really enjoyed them - I received lots of positive feedback. A few of our students even went out to eat with them after the concert. We used them for our root beer float night event the other night, and we would really like to bring them back (next semester?) for a full-out concert where they are the center of the action. We'll be in touch soon!"
Sadie Jo Fitzsimmons, DSA - Wisconsin Lutheran College (Milwaukee)

"Easily Amused was a hit! Our students loved them! Keith and Renee had a great chemistry and their energy got our students into the performance. Their show was a great way to kick things off. I've heard lots of great feedback! Thanks for all the help and communication!"
Tina Hopp, DSA - Bethany Lutheran College (MN)

"They were fabulous! I heard nothing but good from the crowd and I know I enjoyed them! I hope they had a good time playing here. I know that the UP crowd had fun! As I said, Keith and Renee performed very well and they are just fantastic people! They're so nice and easy going, it was a joy to have them here. Please tell them I am glad I got a chance to meet them and I hope to see them on tour sometime soon! I listen to the CD you sent all the time. Thank you for all your help with their performance and take care."
Sara Brunicardi, Student Programmer - University of Portland (OR)

"Having Easily Amused on our Campus was great! We were glad to work with Keith and Renee, as they were so pleasant to be around. They put on an excellent show and many students relaxed outside at the campus mall and enjoyed the excellent tunes. Thanks for your help!"
Hector Cruz, Concerts Coordinator - Eastern Washington University (Cheney)

"Keith and Renee are wonderful people. Very prompt, polite and communicated well with their audience. The entire staff, students and faculty enjoyed the performance. They were so well behaved, I even bought them lunch. Beautiful voices. Thank you for sharing them with us!"
Malcolm Oliver, Diversity Support Services Coordinator - Bellingham Technical College (WA)

"Easily Amused was outstanding! And, unlike some performers we've hosted, they were very nice people. I'd love to have them here again. We didn't get the student turnout we'd like, but you can't always control that element. The students and employees who did hear the show enjoyed it immensely. Thanks for your help in making them affordable to a small college like us and I'll certainly be happy to recommend them to others."
Rick Ross, Director of Athletics & Student Programs - Peninsula College (WA)

"The show went great, once it got going! I have to give it up for Keith and Renae...they were very flexible and Keith was superman! We had a ton of techinical problems and we still haven't quite figured out on how to run a Battle of the Unsigned Artist, so we had some gliches. Keith ended up fixing all of the sound problems and ran the sound for all the other acts. I cannot say enough about them or the show. They were awesome and the crowd was really into it. They were both troopers and were great to work with! We are so glad we booked them! Thanks for everything House, you are the greatest!"
Lyndee Hoiland, Program Director - Minot State Univesity (ND)

"Easily Amused was wonderful! They had an encore and performed two extra songs. Keith and Renee were very professional and delightful to work with. The attendance was down (this is the first time we have had a Saturday performance and there was alot of other things happening in the community). The audience that was there thoroughly enjoyed them. Thank you for all your help in making this a successful event, you are great to work with!"
Livia Millard, Student Services Coordinator - Wenatchee Valley College - North (WA)

"Western Oregon University and Easily Amused was a great combination! We attracted different types of students and everyone was very drawn into their performance. Aside from their music, Keith and Renee are wonderful to work with! I really enjoyed talking to them and finding out more about them. They are very fun and relate well with college students. They even let us choose some "special request" songs that we remembered from NACA. The flexibility is always appreciated. Please pass on our appreciation to them as well!"
Jolene Brunson, SAB Director - Western Oregon University (OR)

"Just wanted to let you know that I thought Keith and Renee were great. They have a nice sound. There were probably 50-60 people watching at one time. Several students and some faculty/staff mentioned how much they liked them. I wanted to explore the possibility of bringing them back for an outdoor show later this spring. The student government here is planning an "Outdoor BBQ/Concert" and is interested in having Keith and Renee come back to be a part of this event...with hopefully a better turnout. :-)"
Steve DeKlotz, Associate Dean for Student Life - Concordia University (OR)

"Great performance! Keith and Renee were fantastic! They even stuck around after the show and gave guitar lessons to some interested students! Thank you for the deal! We would rebook anytime! Since they did sell all of their CD's last night, you can be sure that you will soon hear their vocals echoing from Patterson Hall's front desk and throughout the residence halls!"
Madonna Dunbar, Coord. of Student Activities - Sierra Nevada College (NV)

"They were awesome! The audience loved their music and many people asked us when they are coming back. They were by far the best singers we have had at our coffeehouse. Thanks for all of your help with the event!"
Brian Scheller, SAC Co-Chair - Concordia University (NE)

"Well the show was great! Keith and Renee are awesome to work with. People definitely stopped to listen for a bit and at our school that is quite a feat! Me and the Student Director went and caught the show at the 49er as well last night, which was also a great show and they seemed to win over the crowd. Thanks for steering us in their direction!"
Mindy Johnson, SPO & Agency Advisor - University of Nebraska, Omaha

"I just have to say that the concert with Keith and Renee went great. They sounded really good. The people that came and listened were so excited about them. A few of them bought c.d.'s and thought that they were really good. Thanks so much for suggesting them to me. I think everyone had a good time. People were talking about them the next day at classes so everything went well. Thanks again for working with Rockhurst on getting Easily Amused to campus. If I hear of any open dates that we have, I'll tell people to look up your website."
Kristi Thompson, Student Programmer - Rockhurst University (MO)

"The Easily Amused show on Jan. 15 was perfect! We had over 100 students and Duluth residents show up. Keith and Renee put on a great show and were the best to work with. We'd have them back anytime."
Dan Sepion, Coord. of Student Activities - College of Saint Scholastica (MN)

"Easily Amused were TERRIFIC and we loved having them perform at our college! They were very easiy to work with and they had great energy!!! They drew in a big crowd. I think we had around 200 people at the show. We asked them to perform at a coffeehouse next year so we're hopeful that we can book them again! I'll be in touch with you about booking them again."
Lindsey Tischer, Coffeehouse Co-Chair - College of Saint Scholastica (MN)

"You missed one HELL of a good show!!!! They were absolutely phenomenal. They had so much fun on stage, and it really rubbed off on the crowd. They played amazing. Their guitars, their vocals...everything. This was one of the best shows I have seen in a while. They had such fantastic stage presence...they were actually funny (not dorky like other performers) when talking to us between songs. You could tell they really loved what they do. I would certainly pay to see them again...too bad they don't play the Cities more often. All of my roommates loved it, as well. "Easily Amused definately pleased the small, yet enthusiastic crowd that showed up for their gig at our unfiltered series. Their crowd interaction was great, and the covers that they threw into their set had everyone laughing and singing along [some people even danced in the hallway]. We definately enjoyed their performance immensely!"

Interview (with Keith Macpherson of Easily Amused) (back to top)
Where did you grow up?
I was born in raised in Winnipeg, Canada.

How did your childhood/upbringing influence your decision to be a musician?
There was always music around my house. My mom played a bit of guitar and both my parents listened to a lot of music. It seemed like it was just part of living for me when I was a kid.

What other influences in your life encouraged you to pursue a career in music?
Girls, a couple of my buddy’s that played guitar in school and this need to always be on stage…I just needed to be doing this.

When did you start performing on the road?
Right after grade 12, I put a band together and we took off touring in Eastern Canada…little did I know I would still be doing this years later…I did finish up a degree in teaching while I played with that band.

Is there a particular part of the music business you like the most (i.e. songwriting, touring, singing, etc.)?
I like the balance between the creative and the business. It always feels good to get a gig or set up an interview, but I have to say that it is just as good to write a great song and be inspired to create music!

How often do you write?
Ideally, I would love to write everyday. Realistically, I try and write when it feels right, so my writing periods come and go. I find it very effective to wait until it all pours out of me, and at that point, I commit 100 % to the paper and write until the creativity has run it’s course.

What do you like about touring on the college circuit?
I like meeting students and sharing my music with them…

What do you do to pass the time on the road when you're not performing?
I like to sleep…as boring as that sounds. I also love to work on our laptop, watch dvd’s, and imagine what all my friends are doing while I am away. Haha…this sounds pretty laid back, eh.

How would you describe your music?
My music is melodic. I love a well-crafted song with lots of hooks, lyrics from the heart, and a really strong message. I look to many different artists for this inspiration.

Do you have any formal training?
Not really. I took guitar lessons when I was about 16 for a couple years…

What kind of music do you currently listen to?
Everything. I think that is the only way. A lot of pop/rock, acoustic, singer-songwriter stuff.

What other passions do you have besides music?
Wow…I don’t know

What advice would you give someone who wants to become a full-time musician?
Follow your dream. Don’t doubt it if you know it is something you need to do. Stick with it if you know it is what you are supposed to be doing. Playing music full time has its rewards and also requires some sacrifices…but in the end, just stay true to yourself….that will never let you down.
